Story making (group activity)


In this activity, our mainly focused on the fact that, how much communication is affect to the efficiency of the activity.



The activity was we were divided into 3 groups and we were asked to face back to the white board. Every group a marker pen was given and we should write a story but a group member can only write one word at one time. And there were 4 rounds. At that time we were so excited about the activity.


One by one in our group went to the board and write the story. When my chance arrives and when I came to the board I was shocked to see it. It was a total nonsense.


After all rounds completed, we red our story, at the very beginning it was very fun read all those nonsenses. But after our lecture explained how communication matters to a work, we realized what was wrong with the stories. It was a fun activity although it doesn’t take much time.

Paper Tower Game According to my point of view, this paper tower game which we have done in our ppd session is not just a game. It can be considered as a group activity which can improve our soft skills which cannot be developed only by doing the academic stuff. Leadership skills, speaking ability, creative thinking and time management are some of those soft skills. What is the paper tower game? First of all we were divided into three groups by counting. In this activity we were provided 12 papers, a gum tape and a pair of scissors. Apart from that, the tower that we built could be stand at the given place. Then we have to build the tallest tower within the given 45 minutes. How did we do that? First of all we had a small discussion about the way we build the tower. What you learn from PPD PPD which is known as Personal Progress Development can be considered as a guild line of our lives. Not only that but also it is energy and time saving method. From these PPD sessions that we had in our university, we were able to make new unforgettable memories as well as good lessons. According to my view, our PPD session is mainly focused on the point which is having a strategy before starting a task. We have to pay more attention to some points like the dead line, way of doing the task (analysing the task), things that make the task easier, way of getting maximum use from the given resources.
